ARCOBEE.COM Revenue, Advertising and Ethics Policy

Long after conceiving of such a website, I started ARCOBEE.COM development in late 2022 and launched in mid 2023, after spending a five figure sum in development costs. I never envisioned such a launch would lead to the support we have today, and I’m very grateful for the readership we have on the website today. 

All my travel shown on ARCOBEE.COM is self-funded.

All airline and hotel reviews are done without notice or approval of the companies involved, and no company mentioned herein sponsors or endorses content on this blog. 

All that said, although I would love to offer everything I can for free, the world rarely values “free,” it costs us to produce and operate the site, and I beleive we can produce even better work and value through our revenue. 

In order to provide our content, which I wish to keep independent and unbiased content, ARCOBEE.COM profits primarily from Affiliate Marketing and advertising, as well as our Sales and Subscriptions.

Affiliate Relationships

Another ARCOBEE.COM source of income is earning commissions through affiliate networks when readers purchase products that I’ve linked to here on ARCOBEE.COM. These include: 

• Offers Articles that discuss certain products or services offered by our affiliate partners in the travel space.
• Coupons and Discount Codes for services offered by Affiliate Partners.
• When readers apply for and are approved for selected credit cards using link on ARCOBEE.COM. We do make recommendations on cards we think clever travelers should consider, regardless of any commission we have.
• Clicking on our Display Advertisements.

The placement of cards on the site is not reflective of, nor influenced by, any compensation ARCOBEE.COM may receive. We primarily focus on credit cards that are useful to us, and that are independently valuable for earning airline miles, hotel points, and with transfer flexibility. 

Additionally, ARCOBEE.COM is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com. Our Equipment Page largely covers links through the Amazon program. 

Display Advertising

You may notice special advertisements, banners and widgets in the sidebar, or sprinkled throughout the page. 

Our Display Ad spaces are handled through our affiliate marketing relationships, which include CJ, Awin, Pepperjam Ascend, Travel Payouts, and more. typically contracted through our , and I have little influence or control in what advertisers are selected, or what ads are shown.

Sponsored Posts

For several product posts, we may accept a fee from an advertiser for a sponsored post.

This will always be labeled with an additional disclosure or an “Offers” label, so that you know the content itself was paid for directly.

Ethics Policy

In addition to the above disclosures, we abide by a strict ethics policy:

• We do not accept any free travel from airlines or hotels, everything I find is self funded, and I try to find the best deals to show you what’s possible in the travel space.
• I never let airlines or hotels know I’m arriving in advance, everything is reviewed on the spot, exactly as I experienced it in that moment. 
• I also never ask for special access; if it’s provided it’s usually a courtesy of the staff in kindness.
• We don’t accept any “gifts” that may present a conflict of interest, usually the extent of our gifts is “free upgrades” that would have happened anyway.

Finally, I truly honor and appreciate the support of everyone reading ARCOBEE.COM. I am truly grateful if you choose to use any link on this site for services – which I’ll promise I’ll always disclose if we’re getting a commission for. I’ll also never recommend a product or service I don’t truly believe is fair and valuable to the clever traveler.
